Today I'm working at the office for the first time since May 2020. I'm suddenly aware of how much I talk to myself while I work.

I've used the same comment to approve PRs in every company I've worked for since 2009. It conveys nicely how I feel about a job well done. Thank you little snippet.

RegExp.prototype.test() - JavaScript | MDN

RegExp.prototype.test() - JavaScript | MDN

The test() method executes a search for a match between a regular expression and a specified string. Returns true if there is a match; false otherwise.

Part of having a toddler is having about 10% of your brain dedicated to looping what ever song is their favourite this week. I’ve had “this is the way we brush our teeth” stuck in my head for the last week.

Replying to myself

If you mention swans to a British person they’ll tell you swans will break your arm and nod knowingly. No other information will be forthcoming on the topic.

This thread gives me all sorts of warm nostalgic feelings. 💗

I have been living in the UK for 10 years this year. Please have a short thread of things that are still weird as hell to me 🧵
