Watched #TheBear season 2 episode 6 last night. This was one of the most anxiety inducing and enthralling episodes of TV I've watched since #TheLastOfUs. What Christopher Storer is doing with this show is magic. 💖

One of the hardest things I've found going from a developer role to a #mentoring role is going from delivering solutions to helping others find their solution to their problem. The developer role is about taking a problem and returning a solution. Doing the same in mentoring (giving solutions to problems) hasn't been a great way of helping people grow.

Just finished Anne Leckie's Imperial Radch series. 🫶 Love the world/culture building in these books. So good. 🧤

Now to find something to tide me over until the next @marthawells@wandering.shop Murderbot Diaries book comes out in November. 🤖

Hey folks! My lovely and talented wife Keven is running a studio sale right now for her gorgeous print work. Please check out her shop over on Etsy:

I’ve been rewatching #Andor and it has been a JOY. Watching weekly when it came out and listening to pods and theorising was fun. But rewatching I’ve been able to just enjoy all the fucking beautiful dialog and details. Such. A. Good. Fucking. Show. ❤️

Always a good day when latest Drift magazine arrives. I guess you could describe it as a travel magazine about #coffee? Really beautiful photography and articles about coffee shops, culture, and history in a given city. This month one of my favourite cities I’ve visited, Berlin! ☕️ 😊

Good quote by @thomaseckert@mastodon.coffee on a recent @jsparty@changelog.social episode.

"A codebase is an artefact of multiple decisions".

I kind of love this idea. Every decision you make in code (no matter the size) becomes an artefact that someone in the future has dig out and understand.

Been playing around with #RemixRun for a toy project. So far I'm pretty impressed! It does a pretty good job of walking the line between not being too magical and being understandable. And setting things up to ship a no-javascript frontend is pretty straight forward.

The Banshees of Inisherin has a lot of excellent knit wear. 😍
